MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Supervise important aspects of the hot lunch area in the cafeteria from 11.20 until 13.40.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise the access to the lunch room including:
  • Monitoring of students scanning their ID card to get their meal ticket (checking that they are registered). Checking that the ticket machine works well to avoid issues.
  • In case ID card is forgotten, check on the list that the student is registered before giving meal ticket (keeping record of students who forget their card to be able to ask them to get a new card after a certain time). A new list is to request from time to time to be sure the one used is accurate.
  • Keeping records of Meal tickets “sold/given” to teachers and submit it to HR to allow accounting to bill them later. Provide tickets to teachers when they present their card
  • Monitoring the queue and keep order. Taking initiatives that can improve the efficiency of the system for better safety and better functioning
  • Report immediately to Services manager any issues, students not able to get a ticket when scanning their card, brand new students not yet in the system, teachers reporting issues, problem in the service, any point to improve
  • Collaborate closely with kitchen team
• Supervise the room itself:
  • Watch students’ behavior and intervene if necessary or report to teacher on duty
  • Check if some students not registered serve themselves with hot lunch food and report them to concerned Principal, by writing when necessary
  • Help the teacher on duty when necessary

With both English and basic French required, you ensure clear communication in a bilingual context.

ESSENTIAL INFORMATION

It is important that the post holder is always aware of Child Protection guidelines and observes a professional distance from students whilst still developing effective working and caring relationships. You understand and embrace the importance of diversity and inclusion and stand against discrimination in any form. Background investigations and reference checks for the past ten years will be conducted during the selection process.
